I think we were overcharged but not certain.
We were the only customers (early spring - no touristic season) in the hotel and the staff was very friendly and nice. The owner prepared for us a dinner very good. The room was nice with all what's necessary.
Good location and breakfeast. The owner is kind and speaks English. There is a very nice view from the terrace. The room was simple, small, but good. Like a room in my grandmother house.
There is a swimming pool, but we found it a little dirty. But the owner said that was because of calcium water.
The breakfast is excellent, there are a variety of juices, teas, fruits, etc. The wife and the son of owner are friendly. The air conditioner worked very well.
I arrived at hotel after the check in time and didn't find my room avaliable. When try to use the shower, it was broken but the owner fixed immediately. The toilet was also broken but It was fixed by myself. There was dust on the wardrobe and the bed linen. The wifi didn't work at night.
It's very near to tour attraction. Room has heater and A/C and clean bathroom. Although we arrived one day later than reserved date, owner didn't charge extra fee. and they were very nice to talk to us and explain where to visit in Pamukkale. We took picture together and were treated with warm turkey tea. also they gave some turkey bag and accessory.
Hotel was nice overall,it was just a few steps where the bus shuttle dropped us..very easy to find, the manager Mevlut was waiting for us,showed us our rooms which were really nice, when we came to our rooms after the tour they sent us tea as well which was very sweet of them, asked us if we want to have dinner here so we said yes, dinner was served when we wanted to,it was nice, loved the veges.later on he helped us with the bus reservations as well..arranged the tickets and the taxi to drop us to the denizli bus station as well.
Kervansaray Hotel in Pamukkale is a little gem. Centrally located. Mr. Kaya and his family are truly kind and caring to customer needs. Rooms are small, simple and clean (decoration is a question of personal taste). All amenities are present: A/C hot+cold, flat TV, phone, fridge, hairdryer. Free WiFi everywhere. They even provide robes and slippers. No safe, though (maybe in reception). The pool is small but very adequate. The water is cloudy (due to the enormous calcium content, that's where the travertines come from). The constant hum of water flowing in the street is very agreable and soothing. The terrace is very comfortable, superb view, very good for diner. When we were there (June 2012), Mr. Kaya was offering a fixed menu at 25 euros each, with enough food for even the most hungry. And tasteful too. Not expensive at all, considering the alternatives outside and the quality of the food. The (included) breakfast is also in the terrace. No buffet. But the quantity, variety and quality of the food they bring to your table is totally satisfying. A very recommended Hotel. And it's cheap, too. A sure shot.
I regret that the curtains in the windows don't shade anything (sun aplenty in your room at 5 a.m.) but that's usual in Turkey everywhere. Bring your eye-cover (that thingy they give in planes).
Family atmosphere, home made food and best part is hotel location which is on walking distance from fomous attraction.
Nothing about complaint.
The location is quite good, but most of the hotels are very close. The breakfast is ok for the kind of hotel, but juices are not natural.
The owner tries to be friendly but he stinks. It means that even if the court is quite peaceful, one cannot stay. They don't accept credit or debit cards. The room 102 doesn't have ac and the shower head doesn't get fixed. How a place like this could get more than 8 in the Booking notation system ? How could one change the hotel without paying the compulsory first night ?
We arrived in Pamukkale on 27/1/12 to stay for two nights, we liked it that much we stayed an extra night. Mevlut greeted us warmly and said this is your home while you are here. We certainly felt that. Mesgure his wife offered copious amounts of tea.We were asked to join them for dinner. Wow such great hospitality. The room was clean and comfortable, plenty of hot water. Mevlut helped us with any imformation we needed on the Travertines, Laodecia, Aphrodiasis and The Red Spring. The hotel is lterally 500m away from the southern entrance and 150m away from eateries and bus terminals. This is a great value for money hotel.Thankyou for an unforgettable time Mevlut and Mesgure. We found it hard to say goodbye to our wonderful hosts.
The helpfulness of the owner in arranging tours. The good location. The excellent evening meal.
The owner was amazingly helpful with everything. The room was clean and nice. They even had slippers.
The restaurant only works with set menus which was a slight inconvenience as we just wanted to order something very small for a snack. The room could use A little more horizontal space for suitcases and backpacks.
The hotel is comfortable and the staff/family are very personable. The food was good basic family Turkish style.
Nothing that was caused by the owners--just some of the guests were loud at times
The owner and his wife were very hospitable and helpful and were happy to accommodate our different needs cheerfully.
The Karavanseray is a family run hotel, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is placed in a wonderful location just facing the main entrance to Pamukkale travertines and Hierapolis ruins. The garden is delicious and the rooms are quiete simple but comfortable. The breakfast on the terrace is superb! I definitely recommend it for backpackers and families!
